HEALTH: Students have been assigned to small groups to research a focus area in Healthy Eating. Follow the "Big Idea" and generate 2-3 inquiry questions to research on the topic. Tonight look for 2 potential websites. You will be given a few days to collaborate online. Next week, students will be provided a copy of their online work to them independently design an informative poster. (The poster will be presented to the class later in the week)
SCIENCE: students have been assigned a research topic for our Electricity Unit. REFER to the Big Idea questions Grade 6 OUTLINE; student generated guiding questions to research and describe the transformation from raw form to electricity. Groups will reorganized from their expert group and be jig-sawed into home groups later this week. Class time provided and at-home will be useful to support group members.
SOCIAL STUDIES: looking at continuity & change, cause & consequence in history.
WRITING: over the next two weeks, students will write their final draft of their mystery story, referring to feedback from author A.Misri and discussions during writers workshop Google Classroom Mystery Writing

** Over the next few weeks, flyers will be sent home from various middle schools as your child will transition from Grade 6 to Grade 7.
